The Lutengano Secondary & High School is a private institution, owned by the Moravian Church in Tanzania - South Province. The school has a long-lasting tradition. It was founded in 1950 as a girls middle school. In 1972 it became an inclusive primary school, so a school which was especially focusing on supporting children with disabilities. It was only in 1982 when it turned into the secondary & High school that it is still known for today. Most of the buildings also date back to the 1980's, but they were renovated ever since, and new renovation efforts started in July 2019.
